Career and business consulting can take on many forms.
It might be a one-time session to answer one or more of your questions about your career. It may be continuing counsel on various aspects of your ongoing goals. It may be a contractual relationship to satisfy one or more of your career needs. It could be purely to handle your business needs, help start your company or wade through financial issues. Or it could be a formal, fixed-length contractual relationship for career and/or business management services.
Whatever form our relationship takes, rest assured that Random Music Group will give you the best possible advice and services from people that have been there with many years of experience in the field. If we can't provide a service in-house, we'll put you in contact with a professional who can.
Initial consultation is a 1 - 1 1/2 hour counseling session for $90.00 and can be done either in Nashville or, if you're located out of town, we can do it on the phone (we can also do in-person sessions outside of Nashville, but extra fees will apply). In that initial session, we'll talk about all aspects of your career and answer any music business and general business questions that you may have. If you're a working artist or songwriter, the session will be a "Career Audit" and we'll map out a strategy to move to the next level. If you're new to the music business, we'll talk about how to go about establishing yourself and moving forward.
After the initial session, future consultations are $50.00 for a half-hour and $90.00 per hour for longer meetings. The same rates apply for continuing, open-ended services, unless negotiated otherwise for longer-term projects. Certain services are quoted on a fixed cost basis.
You may also choose to set up a Monthly Retainer Agreement at a fixed rate per month for a fixed number of guaranteed hours. If you think you're going to need regular career advice and help over an extended period of time with things such as co-writes and promotion, this is a much more cost-effective plan.
